April was a big concert month for me. Maybe my busiest month ever for shows. In total I saw 18 bands across seven days and five venues.
All of them were great. Most of them it was my first time seeing. A handful I've seen before.
But the most important show, the most important band, was the last show of the month - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
This show marked my fifth time seeing The Boss, and he didn't disappoint.

The tour was billed as a celebration of and defense of America, democracy, and the American dream.
Every song was carefully chosen to be on message, meaning some Springsteen staples were not played (Thunder Road, Rosalita, Glory Days, and many others) but while they were missed, it was still an amazing show.

Bruce and the band played for almost 3 hours, which is typical and still amazing for someone who is 76 years old.
I splurged for pit tickets because who knows how many more opportunities I will have to see one of the most important artists in our lifetime. I was incredibly close, and surrounded by other super fans and we did not stop singing or dancing until the lights came back up.
It was a show that I won't soon forget.
