Before we get started, I have a new article on I Have That On Vinyl, celebrating a decisive album, Metallica's Load, on its 30th anniversary.

I started this playlist and newsletter in January of 2020, a few months prior to Covid and lockdown. That first year this project did a great job to take my mind off of things and focus on something I love - discovering new music.

I had been considering ending this project at the end of the year, having 84 monthly playlists. But as time went on I felt the drive to sit down and put this together each month dwindling and I think it's time to take a break. This may be for a few months, this may be for longer, I don't know.

But what I do know is that I'm grateful that I took this journey. I discovered hundreds of new bands that are part of my regular rotation and I've seen dozens of these bands live. I'm also grateful to you guys who have been on this journey with me.

This isn't good bye, it's just see you later.

If you want to follow me on socials or see what else I'm up to, you can find my links at mikemikemike.me.

Thanks for reading, thanks for listening, and I'll see you around!

Are these National lyrics, or something a dad would say? Honestly, this is a tricky quiz.
